Sarah Allen is an American software developer and entrepreneur.[1] Sarah attended Brown University in Rhode Island, where she majored in computer science and visual arts. Early in her career, she was a key contributor to the creation of Adobe After Effects,[dubious ] Adobe Shockwave,[dubious ] Flash video.[dubious ] After her early and important contributions to Adobe's After Effects, Shockwave and Flash Video, she has turned to building her expertise in open source web development languages and various mobile application development platforms.

In 2010, Sarah co-founded and serves as the Chief Technology Officer of mobile startup Mightyverse. In parallel she is the Founder of San Francisco-based Ruby on Rails[2] consultancy Blazing Cloud that is a product-centric mobile application consulting firm. In 2010 she authored a book on cross-platform mobile application development, available for sale on Amazon.
Representation of women
In the Silicon Valley community, Sarah contributes her time to improving the representation of women in technology as the President of RailsBridge, which aims to "bridge the gap from aspiring developer to contributing open source community member through mentoring, teaching and writing".[3]
Recognition
Sarah Allen was honored on Ada Lovelace Day by the Bay Area Geek Girl Dinners in 2010[4] and participated in the mobile-themed Google Tech Talk[5] at the company's headquarters in Mountain View.
