He has complied several books on environmental law and participated in various seminars and workshop in India and abroad. He is also the founder of Environment Law Research and Guidance Foundation (Elaw India).

Early life
P.B.Sahasranaman was born on 1958 at Ernakulam district, Kerala, India. He is the son of P.S.Bharath Raj and K.Parvathy Ammal.
Education
He has his schooling in the St.Alberts High School, Ernakulam. Obtained the degree B.Com from the Kerala University. He got L.L.B 1983 from the Govt Law College, Ernakulam.
Career
Court Works entrusted
- He was appointed as Advocate Commissioner, as an expert on many environmental matters, like blasting of rocks at Pathanamthitta District, on waste management at Cochin, to examine the impact of excavation of earth in connection with the development of International Airport at Kozhikode, sand mining, etc.
- He was also the Convenor of a team of Advocates, who have been appointed to inspect the Social Forestry Project and Kerala Forestry Project of the Forest Department.
- His report for the establishment of on-line monitoring system in Jail in Kerala and the constitution of Juvenile Boards in the State has been accepted by the Kerala High Court and orders have been issued.

- He is also the reporter for TAXMANN, SEBI & Corporate Law Reporter, Complete Digital Judgments (web publication) for the past more than 10 years.
- Member of Kerala Law Reforms Commission headed by V. R. Krishna Iyer , Former Supreme Court judge.
- Member of the Commission on Rights and Welfare of Women and Children headed by Justice.V.R.Krishna Iyer.
- He is also a Notary Public of the Cochin Corporation from April 1995

- He made presentations at the University of Oregon, in Eugene, Oregon, USA, on 3 March 2005.
- Presented papers at the World Bank Legal Forum, 2005 ,session on Legal Empowerment and Justice for the Poor, A Focus on Environmental Justice, held in Washington, D.C., USA, on 1 and 2 December 2005.
- Classes have been taken to the lawyers of the SAARC countries on environmental law, being conducted by the M.C. Mehta Environmental Foundation in Sri Lanka (June 2003), USA and in Bangladesh
- Taken classes for the judicial officers of the Kerala on training being conducted by the Judicial Academy, Kerala on the subjects, Civil Procedure Code, Environmental Law, and Information Technology.
- Presented papers in the Seminar on Environmental Law, being conducted at the National Judicial Academy, at Bhopal.

He is married to P.R. Saraswathy and has a daughter Divya Sahasranaman and a son Bharat.S.Raj.
