Since 2007, Mays has released one EP, and is currently working on his first full length album, 'Nobody Loves You When You're Down', set for release on Farmageddon Records, in the summer of 2011.

Career
In 2007, while working on new material for his band, Blacklung, Owen was inspired to begin writing and recording Roots music. Owen spent the next couple of years traveling around America on Greyhounds, sleeping on couches, floors, and benches, busking anywhere he could, and writing about his experiences.
In late 2009, Owen recorded, and self-released a six song EP, titled, 'Red Wine and White Lines'. Which was re-issued in early 2011.
After being signed to Farmageddon records in 2010, Owen spent a week in Richmond Virginia, in October 2010, recording a new album, titled 'Nobody Loves You When You're Down', with J.B. Beverley engineering, and featuring guest appearances by James Hunnicutt, 'Banjer' Dan Mazer, and Johnny Lawless.
In March 2011, Owen embarked on his first solo U.S. tour, he is currently touring with his backing band, The 80 Proof Boys.
Owen is also slated to appear at the second annual Muddy Roots Festival, in Cookeville TN, along with acts such as, Wanda Jackson, Wayne Hancock, and Don Maddox, of the Maddox Brothers and Rose.
