Othara

Othara is a village in Kerala, India, located in Thiruvalla Thaluk in central Travancore. The Boundaries Of The Village Are Mangalam On The South, Thottappuzha On The North, Koipuram On The East And Kuttoor On The West. Othara Is Divided Into 2 Areas, Othara East And Othara West. Othara East Comes Under Eraviperoor Panchaythu And A Part Of Aranmula Assembly Constituency And Othara West Comes Under Kuttoor Panchayathu And A Part Of Thiruvalla Assembly Constituency. Both Of These Assembly Constituencies Come Under The Pathanamthitta Loksabha Constituency. Like Its Thaluk Thiruvalla, Othara Has A Large Non-Resident Indian Community.The Nearest Airports Are In Kochi And Thiruvananthapuram At A Distance Of Approximately 125 Kilometers North And South Respectively. The Newly Proposed Aranmula Airport Is Only About 12 Kilometers Away From Othara. The Nearest Railway Station Is Chengannoor, 3 km Away From The Village. Nazareth College Of Pharmacy Is One Of The Major Professional Educational Institution In Othara .N S S Teacher Training Institute ,A.M.M High School ,N S S High School , St.Mary’s Up School Kozhimala, Little Flower Up School West Othara, E A L P School And St.Mary S E.M.
