Coaching career
Steffen was the sixth head football coach for the Adams State College Grizzlies located in Alamosa, Colorado and he held that position for two seasons, from 1950 until 1951.[1] His coaching record at Adams State was 5 wins, 11 losses, and 2 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him 15th at Adams State in total wins and 16th at Adams State in winning percentage (.333).[2]
