Orleigh Court

Orleigh Court is a late medieval house in Buckland Brewer 4 miles to the south west of Bideford, Devon, England.[1]

It is a two storeyed building constructed from local slate stone. It has a hall 30' by 20' The building was substantially altered in the 1870s and redeveloped for multiple occupancy in the 1980s.

Ownership

The Dennis family held the local manor and were the original builders. However in 1684 it became the property of John Davie a local Bideford merchant.

At one time John Hanning Speke lived at Orleigh Court.[2]
