Orlando Contreras Collantes (born 11 June 1982 in Pucallpa, Lima) is a Peruvian football defender, currently playing for Universidad San Martín de Porres.

Club career

Contreras started his career at Universitario de Deportesyouth squad, playing for it second team America Cochahuayco.

He was already a skill defender but in that period Universitario had great defenders so he never get the opportunity he was looking for.

In 2004 he left America Cochahuayco and join Unión Huaral. He played s4everal matches but he still do not explote as football player.

After his experience at Unión Huaral he went to FBC Melgar. There he played with his now team-mates Pedro Aparicio and Carlos Solis

In 2007 Contreras joined Peruvian team Universidad San Martín, having his best seasons in all his career. He was join to several big Peruvian clubs such as Alianza Lima or Sporting Cristal and even going to a Europe club. In 2008 he was named Player of the year and Defender of the year by Direct TV.[1]

At the beginnings of 2009 Alianza Lima confirmed that they had get an agreement with Orlando Contreras to join them until the end of the season.
