Cool Vendor
Optenet has been named a "Cool Vendor" by Gartner for its innovative Multi-tenant technology in 2011, in Gartner's report, "Cool Vendors in Communications Service Provider Infrastructure 2011," authored by Akshay Sharma and Deborah Kish.[4]
Protection of Minors
Since its founding in 1997, Optenet has been firmly committed to eliminating the digital divide through effective education and safe usage of the Internet, especially for children. For this reason Optenet works with nonprofit organizations such as Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI) to implement countermeasures against the constant flow of online threats and to create a secure environment for minors. In 2009 Optenet became an official FOSI member.[5] Optenet is also affiliated with NGO Protégeles[6] and the International Association of Internet Hotlines, INHOPE.[7]
