Open ECG project

The openECGproject is an online community dedicated to developing an open-source hardware and software solution for electrocardiography. The project addresses the needs of doctors and hospitals, especially in the Third World, who are unable to afford expensive commercial products.

The ultimate goal of the project is to produce a 12-lead PC-based ECG with interpretive software.[1]

OpenECGproject also aims to develop a wireless ECG device as well as versions for handheld devices, including smartphones.
