Omm'A Givens is a former high school basketball All-American, and center on the 1995 UCLA Bruins men's basketball national championship team. He attended high school in Aberdeen, Washington, where he was a highly-touted college basketball recruit. He was selected to the McDonald's All-American Team in his senior year, and was twice selected as a Parade All-American[1]. He broke the tournament scoring record for boys high school basketball in Washington State[2]. Although he was a member of the 1995 Bruins team that won the men's college basketball national championship, he opted out of his UCLA scholarship in 1996 and transferred to Pepperdine where he finished his college basketball career[3].
