Oomerabad is a town in Vellore District Tamil Nadu state in India. Kailasagiri Village is in Oomerabad post area. It is famous for an Arabic institution Jamia Darusssalam.

Jamia Darussalam

Jamia Darussalam is a renowned institution founded by Late KAKA MOHAMMED OOMER in 1924 CE. Now it is affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University. It has several institutes namely; 1. Jamia Darussalam Arabic College (college for Islamic studies). 2. The institute of Qur'an (memorization of Qur'an with tajweed). 3. The institute for introductory studies in Islam. (offering a short term course and practical training for Muslims, New-Muslims and Non-Muslims). 4. The Institute for Comparative Studies.
