Olga Peretyatko, 2007Background information Occupations Opera singer (soprano) Website olgaperetyatko.com Olga Peretyatko (Russian: Ольга Перетятько; Leningrad, now Saint Petersburg, 1980) is a Russian operatic soprano. As a child, Peretyatko was a singer of the children's choir of the Mariinsky Theater. As a student of the Hamburg Opera Studio, she received the second prize at the Operalia Competition (2007), an event sponsored by tenor Plácido Domingo. Her large repertory includes operas from Händel and Mozart to Wagner and Richard Strauss. As a result of her participation at the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro, she sang important roles at the Rossini Opera Festival: Corinna and Contessa di Folleville (Il viaggio a Reims, 2006); Desdemona (Otello, 2007),[1] Giulia (La scala di seta, 2009)[2] and Aldamira (Sigismondo, 2010).[3]
