Oh Doctor

Oh Doctor

Oh Doctor is an American band from Mesa, AZ.

They formed in November 2004.[1] Original members of the band were brothers Kodi Nixon and Acey Nixon, and cousins Dave Taylor and Mark Taylor. Acey played the guitar, electric drums and vocals. Kodi played guitar, bass and vocals. Mark played guitar and vocals. Dave played rhythm machines, synthesizers and keyboards. The first recording of the band was "You Can't Stop the Curse" recorded by Jalipaz at audioconfusion studios in Mesa, AZ in early 2005.[2]

Mark left the band in the summer of 2005 and new members Clayton McGhan and Merek Davis joined the band. In the new lineup, Acey played guitar and vocals, Kodi played bass guitar and vocals, Dave played synth, Clayton played guitar, and Merek played the drums.

They then recorded their first EP "Mode" with Larry Elyea at Mindseye Studios in Mesa, AZ in late 2005.[3]

The band played a lot of local shows for the next couple years and also toured parts of California, Arizona, Utah and New Mexico.

In 2006 the band went back into the studio with Larry Elyea at Mindseye studios to record the band's first full length album "Color Beyond Closed Eyes" in late 2006.[4]
