Offset is a 2006 film Drama directed and written by Didi Danquart. It was filmed in Bucharest.

Plot

The plot goes around the lives of the soon to be married Stefan (Felix Klare) a German working in Romania for a wealthy and exentric printing company owner, Nicu Iorga (Răzvan Vasilescu) and Brindusa Alexandra Maria Lara Nicu's secretary. Life seems great for both of them, despite the eminent long affair that Nicu held with Brindusa. Everything gets prepared for the wedding, Stefan's family arrives, they both buy their wedding dresses and even a newly arrived German (who was set to replace Stefan at the printing due to Nicu's anger with him) Peter Gross (Bruno Cathomas) is invited to the wedding after he became friends with both Stefan and Brindusa. All was set to happen but during the wedding ceremony, Nicu arrives with henchmen and with a gun in his hands. He walks around the place performing threats to every one present; Stefan's father Ernst (Manfred Zapatka) and Brindusa's father Mr Hergehelegiu; he even gets to the point were he strikes Peter on the nose. After this he quickly shoots himself and is taken to the hospital. There Brindusa reveals to Stefan that he should go to Germany to pursue a better life, revealing to him that she is sort of attached to Nicu. Although there is no specification, it is assumed Nicu survived the shot. The film ends with a raged Stefan asking Peter about his nose just outside the hospital, after that both go away down the road.
