The Cocksfoot Moth (Glyphipterix simpliciella) is a species of moth of the Glyphipterigidae family. It is found in the western part of the Palaearctic ecozone and is common in much of Britain and Ireland.
The wingspan is 6-9 mm. Adults are on wing from May to July.
The larvae feed on the seeds of Dactylis glomerata and Festuca arundinacea and later pupate in the stem.
