Odyssey Magazine was launched in July 1977 in Cape Town, South Africa. Dedicated to what at the time was considered 'alternative' health and spiritual concerns, this magazine has become not only one of South Africa's longest standing consumer magazines, but is the country's and, say leading commentators, one of the world's foremost holistic lifestyle titles, boasting regular columns and articles from luminaries such as Paulo Coelho, Dr John Demartini, Naomi Klein and numerous others.
The readership runs at some 200,000 per bi-monthly edition, reaching a broad cross-section of local and internation thought and cultural leaders, with its website a frequent stop for up to a qaurter of its tens of thousands monthly visitors.
