Protagonists
- RX-178 Gundam Mk-II
- Successor to the RX-78 series Gundams. Developed by the Titans it incorporates the movable frame system, for improved agility. However it is considered lightly armoured compared to other suits in the series, although use of the G-Defensor module rectified this to some degree. All three Gundam Mk-II prototypes were stolen by AEUG early in the series. One was kept for uses by the series main protagonist, Kamille Bidan, while the other two were disassembled for parts. After Kamille becomes the pilot of the Zeta Gundam, Emma Sheen takes over the controls of the Gundam Mk-II.
- MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki
- The Hyaku Shiki (百式 , lit. "Type 100") is a mobile suit built by Anaheim Electronics as part of "Project Ζ". It was named Type 100 because Anaheim wanted to build a mobile suit that lasted for 100 years. It was originally designed as one of the prototypes for the Zeta Gundam by incorporating the "movable frame" technology found in the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II. Originally named Delta Gundam, the transformation capability was seen to be faulty and the capability was scrapped, instead the suit was built without the ability to transform as the Hyaku Shiki. The Hyaku Shiki becomes the main mobile suit of Quattro Bajeena (aka Char Aznable) until the end of the Gryps Conflict. It is badly damaged following a confrontation between Char, and Haman Karn of Axis Zeon at the end of the series. The suit is later recovered, repaired, and used during Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ primarily by Beecha Oleg. A revisitation of the transformability of the unit was used to create the MSN-001A1 Delta Plus seen in Gundam Unicorn.
- RMS-099 Rick Dias
- Also known as Gamma Gundam, it is the first mobile suit developed by the Anaheim Electronics that uses Gundarium gamma alloy. It is retconned in Gundam Sentinel that it is also the first of the AE greek alphabet Gundams, with Hyaku Shiki, or Delta Gundam, as the second.
- MSA-005 Methuss
- The Methuss is a transformable mobile suit developed just to test the transformation concept. In the heat of war, it was placed in battle as the AEUG needed more mobile suits on the field to fight. Although it was lacking in power, the Methuss was very easy to repair, allowing the AEUG to get a lot of use out of it.
- FXA-05D G-Defenser
- The G-Defenser was used to make the Gundam MKII into the Super Gundam increasing the MKII's speed and firepower. It had very few weapons or armor once it had docked to the MKII. It was taken to the Argama at the same time as the Methuss. This was usually piloted by Katz Koyaboshi.
- MSA-003 Nemo
- The Nemo is the replacement for the obsolete GM II. Although the new suit strongly resembled the GM II, the Nemo has far better maneuverability and protection. Soon after its introduction, it becomes the main use for the AUEG resistance group and its terrestrial allies, Karaba.
- MSK-008 Dijeh
- The Dijeh is the mobile suit piloted by Amuro Ray. It is heavily influenced by the Rick Dias, and is designed as a ground combat unit modeled in the same fashion as the Nemo. The Dijeh's main appearance is during Karaba's attack on a Titan base located inside Mount Kilimanjaro.
Antagonists
Earth Federation / Titans
- RMS-106 Hizack
- The Hizack is a mass produced mobile suit used by the Earth Federation and the Titans based on the Zeon Zaku II. While a vast improvement over the Zaku, the Hizack is still equipped with the Zaku's 120 mm machine gun along with a beam saber. Hizack are also sometimes equipped with a beam rifle and heat hawks, but its fairly low tolerance for beam weapons means it can only carry one beam weapon at a time. This model would be seen throughout the series as the cannon fodder units.
- RMS-108 Marasai
- Designed by Anaheim Electronics, the Marasai is designed to be an all-round better version of the Hizack. Anaheim supplies the Titans with a number of Marasais, however after the AEUG's assault to capture a Titan warship, Titan officer Jamaican Daninghan theorizes that Anaheim gave the Titans the Marasai in order to test the AEUG's new Nemo mobile suits, which Jamaican claims are more advanced.
- RMS-154 Barzam
- The Barzam is the cheaper mass production version of Gundam MKII. In Gundam Sentinel, some Barzam were built with actual Gundam MKII body.
- NRX-044 Asshimar
- The Asshimar is a transformable mobile suit developed by the Earth Federation and Titans for use in the Gryps Conflict. Although armed with only a beam rifle, its speed and durability makes it extremely useful.
- ORX-005 Gaplant
- The Gaplant is a transformable mobile weapon developed as a space-use mobile suit but it also proved to be highly efficient in atmospheric flight. The Gaplant proved to be one of the fastest and most agile mobile weapons when in mobile armor mode and thanks to its active thruster units it was able to change direction during flight without the need of changing the direction of its nose. However because of the extreme G-forces which pressed on the pilot during high speed flight, the Gaplant could only be used by the physically toughest humans or by an enhanced cyber-Newtype. Another problem was its high fuel consumption. Because of this the Gaplant was equipped with an external booster in MA form when it needed to fly longer distances.
- Only two Gaplants are seen in the series. The first was used by cyber-Newtype Rosamia Bidan during her attack on the Audhumla after the AEUG's attack on the Jaburo base and the second unit was used by Titan pilot Yazan Gable who used his unit in space.
- RX-110 Gabthley
- A transformable mobile suit designed by Paptimus Scirocco. It rivaled the Zeta Gundam in terms of performance and capabilities. Its expensive production costs and complicated transformation made the Federation favor the Hambrabi as it was much cheaper and simplier in design. Only two known prototypes were produced, piloted by Jerid Messa and Mouar Pharaoh.
- RX-139 Hambrabi
- Another transformable mobile suit designed by Paptimus Scirocco. It was most often seen being used by Yazan and members of his unit.
- RX-160 Byalant
- A multipurpose mobile suit designed by the earth Federation to be use within earth atmosphere and space. The extra large thrusters allows it to move within atmosphere without a sub-flight unit. Only one prototype was produced which was piloted by Jerid Messa.
- NRX-055 Bound Doc
- The Baund Doc is a transformable mobile suit designed mainly for use by Newtype pilots. Although large and bulky, it was quite agile in battle, and was designed with strong offensive and defensive capabilities. It was also equipped with a psycommu system, allowing Newtype pilots to better use it to its full potential. It proved to be a deadly foe for the AEUG, although only three units were constructed.
- PMX-000 Messala
- Transformable mobile suit originally used by Paptimus Scirocco. It was also used by Recocoa Londe in her first several missions for the Titans including a mission to gas a colony.
- PMX-001 Pallas Athena
- One of the four mobile suit developed by Paptomus Scirocco during the Jupiter voyage. This was also used by Recocoa Londe during the end of the war. This was the mobile suit that she defeated the Gundam MKII and she died in it. When Yazan Gable shot this instead of the Zeta Gundam some of the shrapnal hit Emma Sheen killing her.
- PMX-002 Bolinoak Samaan
- One of the four mobile suit developed by Paptomus Scirocco during the Jupiter voyage. Scirocco gave this mobile suit to Sarah Zambirov for her personal use.
- PMX-003 The O
- Sometimes referred in some translations as 'The Go', this mobile suit was piloted by Paptimus Scirocco in the final episodes. Due to its advanced design, 50 vernier thrusters, large size, and the skills of the pilot it was found quite difficult to destroy through normal means, and was in the end destroyed by the Zeta Gundam impaling the cockpit in its Waverider mode.
Axis Zeon
- AMX-003 Gaza-C
- AMX-004 Qubeley
- This mobile suit is piloted by the leader of Axis, later renamed in Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ as Neo Zeon, Haman Karn. Its unusual name is a corruption of the Greek goddess Cybele.
- A next-generation mobile suit development of the Principality of Zeon's MAN-08 Elmeth mobile armor, the AMX-004 Qubeley was designed and built by Axis military leader Haman Karn for her personal use. In addition to featuring a large set of wing binders on its shoulders to assist in AMBAC (Active Mass Balance AutoControl), it carried a pair of dual-purpose beam launchers/beam sabers for close combat and a tail binder containing a set of funnels, a smaller and cheaper version of the Elmeth's bits. These small remote weapons, while still armed with a beam gun and thrusters for movement, were powered by an energy cap system which required recharging aboard the Qubeley after a certain amount of time. Controlled by a Newtype pilot's thoughts via the psycommu ("psychic communicator") system, the funnels turned the Qubeley into a truly deadly unit, capable of attacking enemies from beyond visual range. The Qubeley would remain Haman's personal mobile suit throughout the Gryps Conflict and Neo Zeon movement, with its design serving as the basis for the later AMX-004G Qubeley Mass Production Type.
Others
- RGM-79R GM II
- The GM II is a minor update of the original mobile suits used by the Federation during the One Year War. Although the GM II incorporates improved protection and sensors, a linear floating seat, and a panoramic screen, it is already considered obsolete by the time of the Gryps Conflict. The GM II is used by both the AEUG and Earth Federation during the early stages of the Gryps Conflict but it is soon replaced by newer models.
- RMS-117 Galbaldy Beta
- Evolution of Zeon's final prototype mobile suit Galbaldy Beta. Derived from MS15 Gyan, a close combat mobile suit.
