Boss Mobile Armours

Boss units were placed in certain stages in every routes other than D and F. In Final NEXT stage and several other routes, the EX Strike Freedom Gundam boss version will dock in its own METEOR unit and even enter infinite SEED mode at a certain armor level; it can also unleash a unique combo attack, Voiture Lumiere-DRAGOON Issen attack, very fast multi-beam rifle shots(upon charge in its normal boss mode), and mobile support assist that the playable Strike Freedom Gundam doesn't possess.

    • Support Unit: Gundam Heads, Death Army (Death Bats)

(Note: The only unit from the original game to have kept its G-Crossover attack. Also, the lack of a voice actor could suggest that the Devil Gundam simply does not have a pilot. In "G Gundam", the unit was known to be sentient/self-aware, requiring a human under its control not to pilot it, but to give it life.)

PSP version exclusive Mechas

In the PSP version, Gundam vs Gundam NEXT PLUS, the units from "New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz" and the second season of "Mobile Suit Gundam 00" were the first four mobile suits added. Afterwards, the Zeong from "Mobile Suit Gundam", The O from "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam," the Kshatriya from "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn", and the Providence Gundam from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" were announced as additional units; new Mobile Armour bosses were also revealed at the same time. Though the Unicorn Gundam was already in the arcade version, NEXT PLUS will now feature a voice actor and picture of the pilot for the unit, as well as a different assist.

    • Pilot: Poe Aijee (Voiced by Yumiko Nakanishi)
    • Support Unit: None

(Note: It would seem that players do not fight one, but two WaDoms simultaneously. The reason is perhaps because "Turn A Gundam"'s MA was a mass produced unit, unlike the other bosses in which their respective series showed only one, existing model.)

  • Apsalus III (boss unit)
    • Appears in Route: I
    • Pilot: Aina Sahalin & Ginias Sahalin (Voiced by Kikuko Inoue & Sho Hayami)
    • Support Unit: Gouf Flight Type
  • RX-78GP03 Gundam "Dendrobium Orchis" (boss unit)

    • Pilot: Kou Uraki (Voiced by Ryo Horikawa)
    • Support Unit: None

It is widely believed[by whom?] that the Mobile Armour bosses were originally intended to be playable on the PSP version (except Devil Gundam for obvious reasons). The only reliable pieces of information that supports this is the fact that their move lists were removed from the official website shortly after being posted and when hacking the game, players can notice that several of the MAs have victory poses and quotes(which can only be viewed and heard while playing as the MAs themselves via cheats and winning a battle as well as in the Character Illustration gallery). However, only the Zanneck and Alpha Azieru were complete in targeting, victory and post battle quotes
