Numaish Date(s) 1st January - 15th February Location(s) Hyderabad, India Years active 1938 – present Genre State fair Numaish Masnuaat-e-Mulki or Numaish is an annual industrial exhibition held in Hyderabad, India.[1] The exhibition has remained the only event of its kind in the world to be organised at a stretch for a 46-day period at its 23-acre (93,000 m2) permanent venue in Nampally.[2] It features joy rides, eateries and other entertainment options for the visitors.[3]

History
Numaish started in 1938, during the reign of the Last Nizam of Hyderabad Mir Osman Ali Khan, by a group of graduates of Osmania University to showcase indigenous products. From a mere 100 stalls in 1938 started at the Public Gardens, the venue has shifted to the Exhibition Grounds, near Nampally Railway Station.[4] The name was changed to All India Industrial Exhibition was renamed to its old name Numaish in 2009.
The exhibition
The exhibition features the carpets of Iran and there are also some stalls from Pakistan too that sell their products and dry fruits of Jammu and Kashmir to handmade garments from Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh, handicraft items from all over India and electronic goods of the best brands in the country. There's are special stalls organized by different ladies groups, convicts and much more. [5]
Music concerts
Several cultural programs are conducted in the Exhibition Club during the 46-day period that include ghazal concerts, qawwali etc.
