Nowrosjee Wadia College is a college affiliated with the University of Pune, run by Modern Education Society. This college was founded in 1932 and now has 6 other sister institutes.The college was honored 'Best College In The Urban Area' in February 2002,a first time award instituted by the University of Pune.[1]

Early history
The College owes to the Wadia Family for their munificence, especially the Wadia brothers Sir Cusrow Wadia and Sir Ness Wadia, who donated generously in the name of their father Nowrosjee Wadia.
Nowrosjee Wadia College is one of the most reputated colleges in Pune as well as in the state of Maharashtra.It started its journey in the year 1932 with hardly 250 students. In the year 1982,the student strength was about 3000.In the year 2003; the student strength reached 6000.The College was initially affiliated to the University of Bombay. In the year 1949,the college got the affiliation of University of Pune. The college has a sustained record of excellence in academics.[2]
