Nova Casas Bahia is a major Brazilian retail company founded in 2010 through the merger of retail companies Casas Bahia owned by Klein family, Ponto Frio and the eletronics stores Extra Eletro both owned by Grupo Pão de Açúcar and the furniture business of Grupo Pão de Açúcar. Currently Grupo Pão de Açucar owns 52% of Nova Casas Bahia, Klein Family owns 47% and 1% from minority shareholders.

The company operates retail online through the ist subsidiarey Nova Pontocom, a onlie retail company that was born by merger operations of e-commerce of Casas Bahia, Ponto Frio and Extra Hipermercados, a hypermarket chain owned by Grupo Pão de Açúcar.
