North Korea

India and North Korea have limited relations, and do not maintain diplomatic relations. North Korea's close military collaboration with the People's Republic of China and Pakistan, both India's traditional rivals, have complicated prospects of future improvement in ties. India maintains closer relations with South Korea.

Economic relations

On 2009 India exported roughly $1 billion to North Korea, up from an average of barely $100 million in the middle of the past decade, reports the Confederation of Indian Industry, a trade organizationmost of that in refined petroleum products. The trade group says that North Korea's exports to India were a minuscule $57 million, including silver and auto parts.[1]
