Corporate history
Performance Engineering Corporation (later PEC Solutions Inc.) was founded in 1985 as a professional services firm that helped government clients with Internet technology solutions and other advanced technologies. The company specialized in secure web-enabling government solutions for clients in homeland security, criminal justice and intelligence, defense and civilian agencies within the federal government and at state and local levels.[4] On June 6, 2005, Nortel Networks Inc. completed the acquisition of PEC Solutions, Inc. Together they are Nortel PEC Solutions Inc.[5] [6] On 18 January 2006, Nortel PEC Solutions was renamed Nortel Government Solutions.[7] On 21 December 2009, Nortel Government Solutions merged with Avaya Federal Solutions to form Avaya Government Solutions Inc.
