Arthur Norman Lewis (13 June 1908–1972) was a footballer who played in the Football League for Bradford Park Avenue, Tranmere Rovers, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Stoke City. Born in Wolverhampton, England, he made one hundred and fifty nine appearances for Stoke.

Career

Lewis spent six years at the Potters making all of his 159 appearances in the Football League. A one-time assembler at Sunbeam motors he joined his home town club Wolves at the age of twenty. He was signed by Stoke in 1929 as cover for Dick Williams. He eventually took over form Williams and became the first choice for Stoke until he lost his place to Norman Wilkinson. He latter assisted Bradford Park Avenue and Tranmere Rovers where he won a Third Division North title in 1938. [1]
