Noorulhaq Olumi.Nationality Afghanistan Occupation legislator Noorulhaq Olumi was elected to represent Kandahar Province in Afghanistan's Wolesi Jirga, the lower house of its National Legislature, in 2005.[1] He is a member of the Pashtun ethnic group from the Barakzai tribe. A report on Kandahar prepared at the Navy Postgraduate School stated He sits on the Armed Services Committee as its chair; that he was a Governor-General prior to the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan; that he received military training in the United States; and that he was in exile in Holland during the Taliban regime.
