The Brown-veined Wainscot (Archanara dissoluta) is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found in most of Europe (except Iceland, Ireland, Slovenia and Croatia), east into Russia.
The wingspan is 27–33 mm. Adults are on wing from July to September.
The larvae feed internally on the stems Phragmites australis. Pupation takes place within the stem.
