He started digital production at the age of 14 with an old version of FL Studio. His style of production was originally heavily influenced by old school and underground hip hop incorporated with his own drums and instruments. No Studio has been known to primarily use FL Studio [2], midi keyboards, synth keyboards, and a large custom sound collection. His music has a range of influences encompassing classic R&B, trip hop, arena rock, alternative, electronica, synth-pop, and classical music. No Studio has released 8 beat tapes and is in production with various artists on projects for 2012. [3]
Production Career
No Studio started moving into the hip hop scene around the age of 19 by entering producer showcases in Philadelphia and New York City and networking with various industry veterans. A few months later he was collaborating with the son of Frank Lucas and beginning to get noticed on the internet. [4] [5] [6] He recently received an email from the famed producer, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, of the hip hop supergroup, A Tribe Called Quest praising his originality. [7] No Studio has been accepted for various instrumental contests such as the Roy Ayers Project [1] & Stussy: Make Beats Contest [2] and has built a reputation on several online music networks.
