nigger (1964 book)

nigger (also known as nigger; An Autobiography by Dick Gregory) is the autobiography of comedian and social activist Dick Gregory.

It was written during the American Civil Rights Movement. Gregory explained his choice of title in the book's foreword, answering his mother's objection,

Whenever you hear the word nigger, you’ll know they're advertising my book.[1]
