She was first runner-up in 2007.

Early life
When Johnson was 17, she read an advertisement in The Acorn for Miss California USA.[1] Johnson, a Moorpark College student at the time, wanted to transfer to the University of Southern California and thought the scholarship would help pay her education.[1] Out of 304 contestants Johnson took first runner-up. She has since competed in seven pagents.
In 2007, Johnson graduated with honors from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication.[2] During her time at USC she focused on sports entertainment.
Miss USA 2010
Nicole placed in the top 10 at the Miss USA 2010 pageant and continued California's sixth consecutive placement.[1][2][3][4] She was sponsored by INTA Gems and Diamonds, Agua Caliente and Tony Bowls.[5]
Personal life
Her parents are Rick and Annette Johnson (divorced) and she has a younger brother, Ricky.
Nicole is from Westlake Village, CA formerly worked for Mercedes Benz and before her departure prior to the Miss USA pageant was promoted to Finance Assistant at the dealership.[6]
