Nicholas van der Nat was born on the 1 October 1979 in Johannesburg.[citation needed] He has the titles of FIDE Master and FIDE Trainer.[1] He has won the South African Closed Chess Championships on three occasions, namely 2000,[2] 2005,[3] and 2009.[4] He coaches chess on a full time basis.[citation needed]
