Ni Yulan Born Beijing, People's Republic of China Known for provide legal defense for victims of Falun Gong members, help petitioners and those who were forcibly relocated to prepare legal documents Spouse Dong Jiqin Chinese: 董继勤 Children Dong Xuan Chinese: 董璇(daughter) Ni Yulan (simplified Chinese: 倪玉兰; traditional Chinese: 倪玉蘭; pinyin: Ní Yùlán), a critical lawyer working for victims of land eviction or housing rights cases, was arrested together with her husband. Only a year ago, she had been released from an earlier detention of two years. Due to torture in prison, she needed a wheelchair. After her release a year ago, she had to live in a tent, since she was a victim of land eviction herself.[1][2][3]
