Newcomer Glacier

Newcomer Glacier (77°47′S 85°27′W / 77.783°S 85.45°W / -77.783; -85.45) is a glacier 20 nautical miles (37 km) long transecting the north part of the Sentinel Range, flowing southeast from the vicinity of Allen Peak and then east to where it leaves the range north of Bracken Peak. Named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Commander Loyd E. Newcomer of U.S. Navy Squadron VX-6, pilot on photographic flights over the range on December 14–15, 1959.
