Kobong was the name of a Polish
progressive metal band active in1994 -1998 inWarsaw . Having recorded two studio albums, one of their songs was placed on the Polish soundtrack of "Trainspotting". Kobong also performed during the premiere of "Trainspotting" inPoland (Kraków ,Legnica , Warszawa,Poznań ,Sopot ).Kobong's music was impulsive and original. The band was described as precursor of "hard playing", and stated their music was influenced by bands such as
Meshuggah . After the breakdown of Kobong, the musicians took up other musical projects, playing in bands such as Nyia and Samo.Bogdan Kondracki is currently recognized as a musical producer, producing albums for artists likeMonika Brodka andAnia Dąbrowska . In 2001, three original Kobong members (without Sadowski) formed the band Neuma. On 26 January2006 ,Robert Sadowski unexpectedly died from a heart attack.Discography
