Technology
As well as using visible light, infrared cameras may also be used; the infrared light not being dangerous to the nesting birds, according to the sites.[2] The camera which is used is usually a web camera. Some of the nest box cameras also have microphones inside them.[3] It is relatively easy to construct a nest box camera because often it involves little more than installing a camera in a nest box, remembering only to choose or construct a nest box large enough to contain the camera, and to use a camera suitable for outdoor conditions.
