Nehru Memorial College, Puthanampatti is an Arts & Science college situtated in a village called Puthanampatti in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. It is an Aided Arts and Science College affiliated to Bharathidasan University. The college is located in a rural ambiance. The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission under Sec 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956. Now the college becomes an autonomous institution. The college is a trendsetter in introducing B.Sc Computer Science in the Arts and Science Colleges at national level as early as 1983 along with St.Joseph College, Trichy.

History

The College was established in the year 1967 by the Philanthropist Moo. Mookka Pillai and Inaugurated by the Chief Minister at the time of Tamil Nadu, Dr. C.N. Annadurai.

Location

The college is situated around 30 km from Trichy and 15 km from Thuraiyur.
