- National Rose Garden
-
The National Rose Gardens are located in Parkes Canberra, Australia, at the sides of Old Parliament House at the side of the Senate and the House of Representatives.
The gardens were officially restored and re-opened in December 2004 following their decline after the Parliament moved to the new Parliament House in 1988. The Gardens incorporate tennis courts and a bowling green and are listed on the National Heritage List. They were originally used for outdoor parties associated with official visits and at the opening sessions of Parliament.[citation needed]
