- National Road Yard Sale
-
The National Road Yard Sale is an outdoor second-hand sale held annually from dawn to dusk for five days from the first Wednesday through the first Sunday of June. Held along the National Road from St. Louis, Missouri the sale runs 284 miles to Baltimore, Maryland.[1]
Started in 2003 by Patricia McDaniel, the owner of The Old Storefront Antiques on Route 40 in Dublin, Indiana, the National Road Yard Sale offers a unique opportunity to not only travel down a road that is over 200 years old, but also to get a taste of the unique communities along the way. The vast majority of the National Road Yard Sale runs along US Route 40, however the National Road between Cumberland and Baltimore is known as US 144, or Frederick Rd.[2]
