Nathaniel R. Brazill (born September 22, 1986) is an American who was charged at age 13 with the murder of one of his school teachers.^[1]

Shooting and conviction

On May 26, 2000, the last day of 1999–2000 school year, Brazill shot and killed Barry Grunow, a teacher at Lake Worth Middle School in Florida. He was convicted of second degree murder and aggravated assault.^[2] Brazill was sentenced to 28 years in state prison followed by 7 years of felony probation.^[3][4] He is currently incarcerated at the Hardee Correctional Institution. His current release date is May 18, 2028.^[2]
