After his loss to Tim Credeur he asked to be released from the UFC. He was cut from the UFC and is now trying to cut down to the Welterweight division but he hasn't fought since then.

Biography
Nate is the son of Rob (author) and Luanne Loughran (deceased) and has 4 sisters. His father remarried, Penny in 1993, and the family grew to a total of 8 children. Nate attended Rancho Cotate High School and Santa Rosa Junior College where he was a standout wrestler. He also played soccer as a child/teen. When not training as a mixed martial artist, Nate enjoys time with his friends, many nieces and nephews and is an avid reader.
Ultimate Fighting Championship
Loughran's first UFC fight was against Johnny Rees at UFC: Silva vs. Irvin, where he won by submission. Loughran lost his second fight against Tim Credeur at UFC: Fight for the Troops via TKO.
