- Nasal douche
-
A Nasal douche is a device for irrigation of the sinus cavities usually using a dilute saline solution. It is not to be confused with the Higginson's syringe.
Usually made of glass, they can be purchased at drug stores without a prescription. Modern versions made of rubber or plastic use a different design.
The original design has a finger stop that when pressure is removed, it allows the fluid to flow into the nasal cavity by gravity.
