Naraggara was an ancient city dating back to the Barcid family in Carthage. It was located 150 km south-east of Carthage and 60 km from what was called the Great Plains. It is mentioned by Livy in his books on the history of Rome during the time Scipio Africanus invaded the area.
Titular Bishop-elect
His Excellency, the Most Reverend Bishop-elect Andrew Peter Wypych, one of two Auxiliary Bishops-elect of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago to be ordained to the episcopacy in the summer of 2011, is also the Titular Bishop-elect of the Titular See of Naraggara.
