Company profile
Ben Black, director of Tinies Childcare,[2] a network of United Kingdom-based nanny agencies, developed Nannyshare.co.uk to put families in touch with others nearby – so they could start a share and save on childcare costs. The site was originally called SharingCare.co.uk when it launched in 2005. To bring greater focus for the website’s users, the website was rebranded Nanny Share.[3]
Tinies Childcare was used to support the parents registering for the service nationwide.[4][5].
Former children's holiday club counsellor and web manager Justin Jeffries,[6] came on board to manage NannyShare.co.uk.[7]. In 2009 NannyShare.co.uk has seen an increase in registrations, as parents seek ways to save on their childcare costs during the ‘credit crunch’[8].The site has so far helped over 10,000 families find the flexible childcare arrangements that their work demands.[9]
The Nannyshare.co.uk website is owned in the UK by My Family Care.
