Medal record Women’s swimming Competitor for the United States Olympic Games Silver 1956 Melbourne 100 m butterfly Nancy Jane Ramey (born June 29, 1940 in Seattle, Washington) was an American swimmer. She represented the United States at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, where she received a silver medal in women's 100 metre butterfly.[1] During the Olympics, she was a student at Mercer Island High School. Ramey attended the University of Washington and the University of Wisconsin. She later became an assistant professor at Stanford University and married Jim Lethcoe.
