Namburu is a suburban village in the Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is a panchayat in the Pedakakani mandal of the Guntur District.[1].
The Namuburu railway station is part of Guntur division of South Central Railway. It is the closest railway station for Acharya Nagarjuna University.

Geography
Namburu is located on the eastern side of the Guntur city towards National Highway 5. It is situated between Vijayawada (18 km) and Guntur (12 km).

Nambur village
this is the central village where 32000 people(including minors) live.It is blessed with good natural resources and fertile lands.Primarily Nambur is agriculture dependent village.this area is well built with schools,colleges,markets,shops, temples, etc the village governance is done from here.village panchayat, veterinary hospital,government hospitals,government schools are located here this area is best for lively hood .this area has a very good water supply.
Nagarjuna nagar
this area is located north west accommodating acharya nagarjuna university,junior,degree,pg colleges,rain tree park town ship, christian monasteries.
Kali gardens
kaligardens is located on the west and its a spiritual center accommodating spiritual university,school,super spechality hospital, ayurvedic massage centers,babu viganan mandir,temples.this area is with considerable number of people.
Nambur railwaystation area
nambur railway station is in this area this area contains a considerable number of people. rail transport and road ways are well built in this area.
So many stories regarding the village are popularised. Archaeologists found remains of rock era in namburu village. From the second century ad namburu had its own status in history of Andhra Pradesh .namburu became a Buddhist monastery in second century in the ruling of satavahanas(dynasty).later the village destroyed and it is believed from 13th century the village is again constructed and later reddy dynasty kings ruled namburu for about 200 years later namburu became a part of vijayanagara dynasty. After ruled by rajavasireddy venkatadri naidu (jamindar of achampet)during the rule of britishers . Regarding the buddish monastery remains of maha stupa and many buddist statues are found by the archaeology department of Andhra Pradesh and kept at Acharya Nagarjuna university museum.and some information about the nambur village is also on the inscripitions of sri panakala lakshmi narasimha swami temple,mangalagiri.
As of 2011[update], the population of Namburu is approximately 45000, 25000 of which are eligible voters.[citation needed]
The population is predominantly Hindu, with the Reddys forming the major group. There are a considerable number of Muslims and Christians.
The people of very traditional and had their own style of culture when compared to other towns .Normally women appear wearing a saree,gents in lungies and pancha along with a head in the present days fashion . cuisine: people of nambur are very particular in their cusine with speacial items like pulihora,payasam,etc which will be in their every special occation along with the spicy foods. Some of the chief varieties of spices produced here include cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. The food is mainly rice, which the south Indian people love to have with a combination of Sambhar or curry.A generous but at the same time a balanced use of spices is done here in most of the vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes of this region. Similarly in most of the dishes that are prepared here the final tempering remains almost same, witch includes a perfect mixture of oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chilies etc.
