Valenciennes, 1836Myxodes viridis is a species of clinid in the genus Myxodes.[1] It is a tropical blenny found from Peru to Chile, in the southeastern Pacific Ocean.[1] It was named by Achille Valenciennes in 1836,[2] and can reach a maximum length of 13.5 centimetres.[1] Blennies in this species feed primarily off of zoobenthos,[3] and are preyed upon by Pinguipes chilensis.[4]
