Myrteola is a plant genus of South American origin. It is a small genus with about 12 species; of these species, the best known is the Paramo of Chingaza.

These plants are shrubs with leaves no more than 1 cm long, with white flowers of 4 petals and fruits. In the Paramo of Chingaza these plants are prostrate and form small lawns. Usually grow in rocky places.[1]
