Mykhaylo Mykhaylovych Yakubovych (born November 26, 1986) – Ukrainian Arabist, translator and scholar of Islam. Received his PhD from the National University of Ostroh Academy where currently works as a lecturer and researcher in Islamic Studies. Conducted his research on the Medieval Islam during his fellowships in Poland (2008, 2009), Italy (2009, 2011) and Saudi Arabia (2010). Published numerous articles and translations in various scientific journals in Ukraine, Poland, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Great Britain. Participated in various collective monographs, among them “Islamic processes in Ukraine and abroad: realities and forecasts” (Kyiv: UAR, 2011). Completed the first full translation of the Qur’an into Ukrainian language, approved for publishing by the King Fahd Glorious Qur’an Printing Complex (Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). Main academic interests: Qur’anic Studies, Medieval and Contemporary Islamic Thought, History of Islam in Ukraine.Some articles in English
