Plot
Dr. Cox's suspension puts his future at the hospital in doubt.
Elliot gets a patient whose jaw is wired shut. He turns out to be a therapist named Dr. Greenberg. She pours her heart out to him, but then feels depressed when he leaves. Turk tells her it's okay to talk to a therapist, so she goes to see the therapist that was her patient, resulting in a true reversal of roles.
Turk spends the night at Carla's, but her mother catches them in bed together in the morning and thus taken as instant dislike to Turk. She is reluctant to spend the night at Turk's because her mother "is frail", but she finally agrees. That night, her mother breaks her leg. Carla feels terrible about it and gets upset at Turk, feeling that the accident was her fault. Dr. Cox attempts to allay her concerns, convincing her that her mother would have broken her leg anyway, and tells her she should be allowed to live her own life.
J.D. is given a sexy but self-absorbed board member to care for. After he has to put his foot down against her dismissive whims, she is turned on enough to sleep with him. He finds out later that she's actually Dr. Cox's ex-wife, Jordan. He also resolves to end Dr. Cox's suspension, and enlists Jordan's help, resulting in Cox's reinstatement.
