She is the youngest daughter of magician PC Sorcar Junior and Jayashree Devi. She made her debut on the Tollywood big screen acting in Shoumik Sen directed No Poblem (2007).[1][2][3][4] She is also a classical jazz dancer, a boxer, and a judoka. Mumtaz started her career with a music video for Bangladeshi singer Mehreen. She appeared in the short film Bhorai: The Maladies of Dawn directed by Subhrajit Mitra and many others. She is Law graduate.[5]
