History
Mulberry tea is made from Mulberry leaves, which are light green in colour and of variable shape. The mulberry plant has long been used in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine and is particularly popular in Laos.
Benefits
Studies have suggested it helps in preventing and treating type 2 diabetes. [1]
A study showed that black, green, and mulberry teas causes malabsorption of carbohydrate but not of triacylglycerol in healthy volunteers. But also has 25 times more calcium than milk,10 times more iron than spinach, And more than twice the amount of fiber than green tea. [2]
